Zain's YouTube Debut

Our wonderful babysitter, Natalie, asked to borrow Zain for a commercial she had to do for a journalism class she is taking. They were imitating the e*trade commercials that most of us know and love...the ones with the hysterical babies!! Anyway, take a peek at the video...it's a crack up! Maybe this will be Zain's big acting break (hehe)! Enjoy!

What Easter Means to US...

Easter is about love, celebration, families and eternal life through Jesus! We had a wonderful and relaxing Easter this year spent with family. We started the morning at church and then went over to my cousins house. It was especially nice to get to spend this special day with extended family! Here are some highlights of our Easter Sunday...

Waking up at 6:30 am to open Easter baskets. Zain was bouncing off walls; Masyn on the other hand was half asleep still!!
Easter egg hunts, of course!
Cousins, family fun, food and memories!Bunnies...Grammy brought 3 week old baby bunnies for all the kids to hold and name. They were so cute that you just didn't want to let go of them. Ending the day with some family time down in Laguna.
Masyn testing the waters! (I love this pic)
Being silly with mom!HAPPY EASTER!!

Cousins!

Last week Masyn and Zain got to enjoy some fun time with their cousins, Sydney (4 yrs), Henry (2 yrs) and Lindsey (almost 1 yr). We all took a walk to the park together and everyone played incredibly well...not a single fight! Here are some cute pics of them together!Masyn and Henry...Masyn LOVES to think she is a little mommy in the making!
Zain and Lindsey playing in the sand!

Masyn vs. Sierra Sidewinder

This video is HILARIOUS!! For the last ride of the day (at Knott's Bery Farm) we finally convinced Masyn to go on a BIG roller coaster. She was sooo excited the whole time in line and even while getting on the roller coaster. She sat down and said to me, "mom let's put our hands up the whole time." Of course, knowing what I had gotten my daughter in to, I told suggested that maybe we should hold hands instead. With in seconds of take off, I thought she was going to be in tears. But after some quick comforting (my arm across her body to hold her in place) we were both giggling uncontrollably! SHE LOVED IT...thank goodness! Not only was this a roller coaster, but it also spun the entire time too. It was like the tea cups going 40 mph along a track. Take a peek at the video!!

Fun With Nana!

Nick's mom , Linda (aka Nana), was just in town for 6 days visiting. The kids were so excited to see there Nana from Oklahoma and definitely took advantage of all the fun times we all got to spend together. I think they took advantage of Nana at times too...after all, isn't the job of a grandparent to spoil their grand kids:) Here are some pics of some of the fun things we all enjoyed together...

Dinner in Laguna!

The Fun Zone in Newport...thank goodness for Nana's good luck at the arcade. She won LOTS of tickets for the kids. If it had been up to me they probably would have only left with a piece of gum that costs 20 tickets!
The mother-in-laws, mom's, nana's, grammy's...whatever you want to call them...we sure do love them!
And lastly, a day at Knott's Berry Farm together! We had lots of fun with you Nana and are so happy we got to spend so much time together making lots of new memories we will cherish forever. Thanks for everything!

6 Going on 16!

Masyn turned 6 on Sunday! Although, if you know her well enough, you'd think she turned 16 (the attitude...need I say more)!! We celebrated the big day with a family dinner. Masyn had a blast, got tons of adorable clothes and even got to pick out her own 'Little Mermaid' cake. Nana (Nick's mom from Oklahoma) was even here to celebrate the special day. Once dinner was over and everyone was in bed, Nick and I laid there in awe of the fact that we actually have a 6 year old. Not just any 6 year old...a healthy girl who challenges us daily (we like to say she makes us grow stronger), who can make your heart melt with just the right look, who's giggle is so contagious, who lights up a room the moment she enters it and whose love is pure and geniune! We thank God for her daily and cherish each birthday that brings a new year. We love you Masyn!

The Last of the Combo Birthday's

On Sunday, March 15th, we celebrated Masyn's 6th birthday (3/29/03) and Zain's 4th birthday (3/3/05) at Zoomar's with lots of family and even more friends!! Since Zain has been born, we have been celebrating the kids birthday's together with one giant combo party (I figured I'de kill two birds with one stone...we all know how much fun kid's birthday's can be...hehe)!! Well this year I really outdid myself. Who knew it would be so time consuming, costly and stressful to plan one giant party?!? About halfway into the planning phase I told myself, "this is the last combo party I'm ever throwing." Don't get me wrong...the party was a hit, the kids had a blast and Nick and I got to meet some great parents along the way...but I sure was exhauasted by the end of the day! Here are some pictures of the eventful day...

The boys on the grill from start to finish. They cooked 50 hotdogs and 30 hamburgers...they were honestly absolutley amazing!!
Zain and his crew...being silly of course! They were all sooooo cute together!Masyn and her best friends...we love you Jalyn and Jordi!Pinata time...Zain knocked it to the ground on his first hit (I put a little too much candy inside)! Luckily we had two pinatas! The chaos...30 kids, two pinatas and countless candy!!All in all, the day went great! The kids had a blast running around, torchering the petting zoo animlas and filling up on sugar (that is what they are suppose to do, right?)! Thank you so much to Grammy, Shell-Shell, Smitty, Adam and Jill for helping set up and keep the chaos under control. I can't tell you what a blessing you all were! Until next year....kidding!!
